11 Set your own work schedule to do from home

When you work at home, the idea of ​​”setting your own schedule tasks” is interesting! For many of us, it’s hard to work around a pre-set schedule depending on what else is going on in our lives.

actually, 73 percent of people recently surveyed by FlexJobs indicated that work/life balance is one of the most important factors they consider when looking for a job.

Some of the options available to work on your time are low paying, but there are many others that can pay fairly well.

Today I decided to make a list of different types of jobs that you can usually do from home that are flexible. This is especially for those who are not able to commit to a fixed schedule.

Set your own work schedule at home jobs

1 – Editing and proofreading work

Working as an editor or proofreader is often very flexible, as is freelance writing, working on your own schedule.

Note that most companies hiring editors and proofreaders ask for prior experience and/or a degree in a related field. He said, this is a field that can pay quite well!

Another, more lucrative option is to start your own proofreading side gig. You can do this without previous experience or a degree. You just need to have the skills to spot the errors in the text!

2 – Side gigs

Side gigs aren’t typically “work from home,” but I wanted to list them here as an option because they’re very flexible, work-when-you-want types of opportunities.

Most of these companies require you to have a smartphone and reliable transportation. You can get paid to run errands for people — delivering meals, delivering groceries, or even giving rides.

Some companies to watch are Instacart and DoorDash.

3 – Academic tutoring

Academic tutoring involves tutoring K-12 or college students with academic studies or providing homework help. This can be flexible as well.

Most of these companies pay more than $14 an hour.

Note that in most (but not all) cases you will need a degree or past teaching or tutoring experience to qualify.

If you are interested in doing this as a work at home job, check out Studypool or similar companies Ha. Both of these pay well and are almost always accepting new tutors.

4 – Replication

As a transcriptionist, you listen to audio and then type (transcribe) what you hear. It is not as easy as it sounds and there is a learning curve.

Flexibility in transcription work varies from company to company, but many allow you to work at any time as long as you return the transcribed files before the deadline.

If you want to work with a company that accepts beginners, you can look at Rev or TranscribeMe.

Your chances of being hired by any company – even as a beginner – are better if you have some training, although training is not always required.

5 – Freelance Writing

Although you may have deadlines to meet, freelance writing from home is one of the best ways to make a significant amount of money while working when you want to.

If you are completely new to freelance writing, you can try starting with content sites like BKA, Author accessor crowd content.

Another option is to strike out on your own and start your own freelance writing business. This involves finding paying clients and setting your own rates. It may be tough going, but it will pay off the most in the long run.

6 – Data Entry

Remember that data entry firms that are legitimate rarely require hiring It seems that is a task everyone wants to, and people tend to keep good gigs when they find them.

Also, there are a lot of data entry scams out there, so be careful when searching for opportunities and don’t pay anything to get started.

If you are interested in data entry, try checking to open with it TellusSigTrack, or CAS Information System.

Keep in mind that these are low-paying opportunities, and it’s best to look at them as extra money rather than replacing your day job.

7 – Freelancer Sites

Sites geared towards freelancers offer a wide variety of jobs in a myriad of categories. You can usually find stuff for any skill — data entry, transcription, voice over work, graphic design, freelance writing, and more.

Most of the time, these are flexible jobs that you can work when you want as long as you meet the deadlines set by the requester.

If you want to dig a little further into these types of sites, I’d recommend checking out Upwork first They are the best known option in this category.

8 – Search engine evaluation

As a search engine evaluator, you work for companies that contract with major search engines to help evaluate results. It helps search engines ensure search results and display relevant ads to users.

One of the best things about these types of jobs is that they almost always set your own work schedule. You can work whenever you feel like it, although some companies will ask you to dedicate a minimum number of hours per week to the gig.

If you are interested in doing this kind of work, be sure to check in Tellus and Appen – two of the most well-known companies working with people in this industry.

9 – Small task sites

You can find all kinds of jobs to do on these sites — data entry, transcription, even search engine evaluation, and you can always log in and do the jobs when you want.

The problem with these sites is that the pay is very low. You can usually consider it some extra cash here and there.

Still, if you’re looking to do some work for small task companies, I’d recommend checking out Amazon Mechanical Turk and ClickWorker.

10 – Virtual Assistance

As a virtual assistant at home, you help your clients do any online tasks that they don’t have time for themselves. Depending on who you work for, it can be lucrative work that can also be quite flexible.

If you are interested in working from home with virtual assisting, you can check out companies like Fancy Hands or Time.

You can also choose to go into business for yourself as a virtual assistant, which gives you much more control over your own schedule and earnings.

11 – Phone work

Phone work from home usually involves doing customer support, tech support, or telemarketing. In most cases, these tasks are not very short on schedule. They will often hire you as a W-2 employee with a specific schedule to adhere to.
