15 Ways to Work Once and Keep Getting Paid

There are plenty of ways to generate passive income for yourself while working from home. Passive means you do the work once and keep getting paid for it over and over again. Sounds like a dream, right? It’s amazing if you can make it work.

I know a few things and I did some research to find out more. I hope you find something below that piques your interest.

15 Passive Income Options

1 – Design and sell physical products

There are some popular sites like Spreadshirt that allow you to create designs for t-shirts, mugs, calendars, etc. and sell them over and over again once your designs are made.

This is different from running an ecommerce business out of your home because all you have to do is create the design. Once you’ve done that, manage manufacturing and shipping items to customers in a spreadsheet or whatever site you use to do this.

This is a great way to earn some passive income if you’re creative.

2 – Blogging

Although blogging is for many working people who do it full time, it is to be able to to be inactive

The blog posts you write can earn you money indefinitely if you monetize them well (advertising, affiliates, etc.). And unless you’re in a niche where things are always changing, you’ll never have to go back and update your old posts. Just let them sit there, earning your money.

I’ve heard of people who haven’t added a new post to their blog for years, yet they make money from those blog posts.

Here is more information on starting a blog. Also, here’s more information on how blogs can make you money

3 – Sell digital patterns

If you’re crafty and create your own patterns for what you make, you can convert them into digital files that you can sell over and over again.

As for where to sell your digital artifacts, Etsy and eBay are great choices, but you can read this post I wrote a while back with a list of places to sell artifacts if you’re looking for more options.

4 – Getting referrals to extra cash sites

I often blog about sites you can use for extra money like Paid Viewpoint and Slice the Pie to name a few.

You may or may not realize that these sites have referral programs where if people sign up to use these sites under your referral links, you get a small percentage bonus every time they use the sites.

So you will definitely earn more if you use these sites yourself In addition to Despite referrals, you can earn money as long as your referrals are active.

Getting people signed up under you can be a lot of work in the beginning, but it will pay off once you have a lot of referrals.

5 – Write the eBook

Putting an ebook together is a lot of work, but once it’s written, it’s written. And you can sell it over and over again, making money off of it indefinitely.

This probably works best if you’re writing fiction because a fiction book doesn’t need to be updated like a non-fiction book.

For example, you can learn how to write a romance novel (or other type of novel) and earn thousands every year (or month). Many people do this, and you don’t have to have any special experience.

6 – Stock photography

If you’re pretty good with a camera, there are many stock photo sites that you can use to submit your photos and sell licenses to them over and over again. So you can literally take pictures once and get paid for them.

Here is a list of sites you can use to submit stock photography

7 – Create an eCourse

Nowadays, eCourses are very popular. You can find a course online to learn how to do anything.

Depending on how in-depth your eCourse is, you may be able to sell it for hundreds of dollars. And just like everything else on this list, you put in the hard work once and then keep paying as you buy what you’ve created.

This may occasionally require updating your course content, but for the most part this should be very passive income. If you want to create an online eCourse, Udemy is a good platform to create and sell your course.

As with e-books, you need to promote your eCourse to get a lot of sales, but other than that the income should be very passive.

8 – Build and sell apps

I always think, “There should be an app for that!” Everyone wants an app for everything these days. And if you can make one, you can sell it over and over again.

You don’t have to be a tech genius to create an app. There are many do-it-yourself tools available online that make app creation easy, but if you want a high-quality app, you should probably pay an expert to do it for you.

Business 2 has a community Great post here With more information about creating an app. If you want to try it yourself, Here is a list of tools you can use From Business News Daily.

And if you want to build an app and then sell it, Flippa is a great marketplace to do so.

9 – Create niche websites

Niche websites are a bit different from your average blog because they don’t need to be constantly updated.

Basically they are just a collection of static pages that provide information on a specific topic. You put the website together, monetize it with ads and/or affiliate links, and put it away.

If you’re going to do this, it’s a good idea to make sure your niche topic is very evergreen – meaning it’s centered around something that rarely changes, so there’s little need to go back and update it.

You can hire a professional to build your special website for you, or you can do it yourself if you know or are willing to learn about website building.

Once you have your niche site set up, you can keep it and earn what you can from ads and affiliate links, or you can sell it on a site like Flippa. To make the most money, you’ll probably want to have more than one niche website.

10 – Rent out the stuff you already own

When you think of renting out your belongings, you might think “home” by default

However, what you can rent these days goes beyond that. While you can certainly earn passive income by renting out a home if you have a spare one that you’re not using, you can also Rent out your carWhen you’re not using it (or even a room in your house), rent out storage space and parking space inside your house!

11 – Create and sell artwork

If you’re an artist (whether it’s through graphic design or hand-painted pieces), you can sell your artwork online in digital form.

I came across a site called today Printable Marketplace It allows you to upload your artwork, set a price, and then earn a 50 percent commission on the sale And yes, you can sell your art license over and over again, so you only have to do it once.

12 – Create and sell written content

Many people who run websites need written content for those websites and prefer to preview and buy it online rather than hire freelancers to write for them regularly.

If you find it easy to create articles on various topics, you can start cranking them out and posting them for sale on various article marketplaces.

How you pay and how much you can earn works differently depending on the platforms you use, but depending on how your rights to content are set up, it can be true passive income. Some articles can be sold repeatedly.

This is a site to consider constant content.

13 – Use cashback sites and apps

Cashback sites and apps are not only good for passive extra money, but they offer such an easy way to pay for things you’re going to do anyway.

I recommend using Ibotta for your groceries and Rakuten for your online shopping. Both of these are great and I have been very reliably paid by both of them.

14 – Create and sell email courses

We’ve already covered selling e-courses above, but if you don’t like the idea of filming video or audio for a course, you can send an email instead.

Basically, email courses will go out over a certain number of days in a “drip” fashion to those who enroll. This is all written content, delivered via email to those who have paid for it

Again, once the course is created, you can sell it again and again.

Highbrow is an interesting site I found today that serves as a platform for your email course. Whenever someone enrolls in a course that they’ve accepted that you’ve created, you get paid.

15 – Start a YouTube channel

You can make money with a YouTube channel in several ways — from ads that run on your channel, direct partnerships with brands, and affiliate links you can include in your video descriptions.

Of course, like almost everything listed above, it takes some time to get a good library of videos and a good number of subscribers. But every video posted can earn you money indefinitely.

You probably also know that YouTubers make everything from part-time to full-time income! Some YouTubers are worth millions.

Here is one Highly rated e-books available on Amazon It also gives a lot of good information on how to be successful with a YouTube channel.

Feeling frustrated because none of the above is “easy”?

Unfortunately, none of this is true. But doing something that is worthwhile Hardly easy. The great thing about what I’ve listed above is that you work hard once and reap the rewards again and again.

And if you think you can’t do the things listed above because you don’t know how to write well, don’t understand graphic design, don’t know how to build websites, etc., take the time to learn. These are the things.

These days we have YouTube, eBooks, fantastic online how-tos, and e-courses to help us learn things we don’t know how to do. Udemy is a great starting point for affordable e-courses for learning to do all sorts of things.

If one of the above options appeals to you, but you don’t know how to do it, take the time to learn.
