7 Remote and Flexible Jobs That Help People

Do you want to help other people? Do you need a remote and/or flexible job? If so, my list is for you today! I found a list of seven remote and flexible jobs that help people.

There is truly nothing better than making money knowing your work day involves making someone else’s day better or easier in some way. It is so rewarding!

This is one of the reasons why I love my job so much. I can work from home whenever I want, and earn from home by sharing jobs and sharing ways to make money online with other people. Being able to help other people is one of my favorite aspects of what I’ve been doing for the past 13 years!

Below, I’ve listed seven different ways to earn income where the work you do is focused on helping other people. Some jobs that help people pay well.

Good luck if you apply for anything!

7 Remote and Flexible Jobs That Help People

1 – Help the blind and visually impaired

If you want to work from home helping the blind and visually impaired, Aira offers an attractive remote opportunity.

As an Aira agent, you answer live video calls for their blind and visually impaired customers. Then you help them complete real-time, day-to-day tasks.

It says in the job description that you are not on video while working.

The pay is $15 an hour, and you work as an independent contractor.

A similar company from my eyes, but you work for them as an unpaid volunteer. Still, I felt I should mention them here in case any of you choose to volunteer.

2 – Become a caregiver

While caring isn’t always work at home (unless you’re caring for your own home), it’s usually flexible work and very, very rewarding! You’re making money while making someone’s life easier.

There are different types of caregiving you can do. You can:

  • Take care of the elderly
  • Babysit babies and children
  • Providing pet sitting services

Care.com If you want to list your caring services in a variety of categories, this is a great place to start.

If you’re primarily interested in pet sitting, consider signing up to list your services with Rover.

3 – Become an online tutor

Online tutors are in high demand, and they have been around for a long time. There is no shortage of elementary, middle, high school, and college students who need the help of regular online tutors.

As an online tutor, you can earn money while also helping someone who is struggling academically. There are many, many companies that hire online tutors, but keep in mind that most of them prefer that you have a degree and/or some past teaching or tutoring experience.

If you want to go ahead and start applying for some online tutoring jobs, here are some I’ve seen recently that may be hiring right now:

I have a larger list of online tutoring jobs if you want more options.

4 – Teaching the English language

This is quite closely related to online tutoring, but instead of helping students with homework, you’re helping non-English speakers learn the language.

While some of the opportunities I’ve listed for you below don’t require you to be a native or fluent English speaker yourself, some of them prefer to hire English teachers with degrees, teaching experience, or language teaching certification. It will just vary depending on the company.

If you want an opportunity to earn money while teaching English to other people, consider the following companies:

The first option in the list (Cambli) is the easiest to start with as they don’t have that many requirements to join as a teacher.

5 – Work at home as a nurse

It goes without saying that you need to have the appropriate licensing, education and past medical experience for a nursing job.

But if you’re qualified, you can absolutely become a virtual nurse and help others from the comfort of your own home with telephone triage, video consultations and more.

These are jobs that help people and pay well, although they are not always flexible. Most companies that hire home-based nurses require you to stick to a specific schedule.

If you are certified as a nurse and want the opportunity to work from home, consider the following companies that may have openings:

6 – Work at home as a therapist

Working from home as a therapist or counselor is one of the best jobs that help people and pays well!

However, just like the nursing positions listed above, you must have the appropriate qualifications to apply for these jobs. They vary, but at a minimum you must be licensed and have a degree.

The companies below are almost always hiring for online therapy and most offer great income and benefits too!

7 – Earn extra money by delivering food and groceries

I have mentioned online shopping and delivery services on this site many times in the past There are several companies that are in the business of providing delivery services, which are in great demand not only for busy people, but also for the elderly and disabled who may have difficulty driving or shopping in person.

Obviously you can’t work from home as a delivery person, but you almost always can with the apps and services I’ve listed below. Many of these pay instantly and allow tips.

In conclusion

So if you’re interested in online jobs helping people, I hope this list has given you some ideas you can pursue.

I haven’t thought of everything, so I’d love your input below if you know of jobs where you help people that could be added here.

Good luck if you apply for anything!
