Doordash A food delivery app that works in the US, Canada, Puerto Rico and Australia. DoorDash was founded in 2013 with a mission to support local economies. DoorDash partners with local restaurants that may not be able to offer their own delivery service and contracts with local freelancers to deliver that food.

During your shift, you may be assigned to wait on orders at a partner restaurant Once an order is placed by a customer, the process is quite simple:

Uber eats
Average Potential Earnings: $21 per hour
Uber Eats is a food delivery service under Uber. Delivery gigs are available in many major cities like New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Dallas, Boston, Phoenix, Washington etc. However, the app is growing across the country.
Depending on your location, you may be able to deliver with your car, bike or scooter. You set your schedule and work as much or as little as you want. Like DoorDash, your compensation is based on the number of deliveries you make.
Actual earnings may be higher because Uber Eats guarantees higher rates for delivering in specific areas and times to balance driver demand and supply.

GrabHub
Average Potential Earnings: $16 per hour
GrubHub is another popular delivery app for food delivery. The company’s website says their platform receives more orders than any other, and is available in dozens of US cities. They’ve partnered with Seamless, so you can deliver those food orders, too.
The company encourages GrubHub drivers to sign up for Incentive Blocks when they’re available although I’ve heard it’s not required. Log in and work when you want.
There are no pay rates available on the site, and I’ve read at least one review that says the incentives are almost non-existent. That being said, tips are encouraged during the ordering process and drivers keep them 100%.
You’ll need a driver’s license (state ID if you ride a bicycle), car insurance and a bank account to receive payment.

Delivery rates are determined by the size of the item and the distance it is being shipped. According to the website at the time of publishing this post, drivers can earn up to $60 for local deliveries and up to $650 for long-distance trips. Once you become a roadie driver you will also have access to special driver discounts on food, hire and repairs.
Drivers must be 18 years of age or older, have a valid driver’s license and auto insurance, and be able to pass a background check. Once hired you must maintain 4-star review status.
