If you’ve worked from home for any length of time, you probably have a PayPal account. If not, it will be soon. PayPal is a popular method of payment for online jobs.
What makes PayPal so popular with both consumers and merchants, or clients and contractors, in this case, is that it allows for secure, international payments and that payments are received almost instantly. When someone sends you a payment it reaches your PayPal account in minutes compared to the days it takes to receive an ACH (Automated Clearing House) deposit in your checking account or check in the mail.
Because PayPal offers customers a debit card, many work-at-home agents prefer this payment method because they can receive payment from an employer and immediately use those funds to pay their online bills or do their grocery shopping. They don’t have to wait for the funds to clear before using them, as can sometimes happen when depositing a check.

GoTranscript Hiring for the post of Transcriber. They pay weekly by PayPal or Payoneer. This company recruits internationally.
humane Assigns people to review calls. You can request weekly payments once your account hits $10. Payments are made on Mondays and Tuesdays. Pay rates are very low. The site gives you a ballpark of earnings of $1 to $4.50 every hour!
Ibotta One of my favorite smartphone apps of all time. The company allows you to earn cash back on your grocery purchases and more. How to open a PayPal account
Opening a PayPal account is pretty painless.
- Go to the PayPal website and click Sign Up at the top of the page.
- You have to select Personal or Business account. If you don’t want to collect payments through your website, a personal account should be fine for now. You can still send and receive money. And, you can always change your account to a business account if needed.
- Enter your email address, create a password and click Continue.
- Enter the required information and click on Agree and Create Account.
- Choose to link your bank account or credit/debit card, enter the details and click Continue.
- In a few minutes, check your email for a message from PayPal.
- Click the link in the email to confirm your email address.
- Enter your password, then click Confirm.
To open a personal account, you only need to provide your first and last name, address, phone number and email address.
After you sign up for an account, you can start receiving payments right away To use the funds in your account, you can transfer them to your bank account (you need to add one first). A bank transfer usually takes 1 to 5 business days Or, you can request a PayPal debit card and have your funds available to use right away. PayPal debit cards can be used almost anywhere, just like a normal debit card from your bank.
