21 Work at home for good multitaskers

Today, we are talking about work at home for good multitaskers!

Multitasking isn’t something everyone can do – and that’s okay! Some of us work more efficiently when we focus on one thing at a time, while others can mentally and physically multitask without changing work performance or pace.

I understand that just because you can multitask well doesn’t mean you actually are enjoyment This is it! I’m a good multitasker, but it puts pressure on me to have multiple things going on at once that I need to focus on. I’d rather not multitask!

So, I’ve always found some joy outside of homework that’s more repetitive. Maybe that will be a topic for a future blog post!

If you believe that you are a good multitasker and you like multitasking, there are several tasks at home that you can consider that require multitasking.

Good luck if you apply for anything listed below!

Virtual Assistant/Administrative Assistant

When I think of multitasking and working from home, virtual/admin assistant jobs come to mind.

Virtual assistants and administrative assistants almost always have different tasks and projects going on at the same time.

As a virtual assistant, you might be taking/making calls, writing blog posts, maintaining spreadsheets, scheduling appointments, managing social media accounts, planning trips, or any number of things your client might need you to do.

If you want to work at home as a virtual assistant or administrative assistant, the following companies often hire:

my e-book, Your quick guide to working at home as a virtual assistant50 companies listed that hire virtual assistants to work from home!

If virtual assistance as a work at home career is of interest to you, this e-book has plenty of information to help you get started.

Customer service representative

You might think that home customer service representatives don’t do much other than take or make calls, but the work is a bit more involved and often requires you to do more than one thing at once.

In addition to communicating verbally with people over the phone, you will do computer work that varies depending on your job. You may be processing orders, inputting data, solving problems (which may require research while you speak), and more.

So while there may be some exceptions, working from home customer service involves more than just talking on the phone!

The following companies regularly have work-at-home customer service openings:

copy

Another home transcription job that seems pretty straightforward on the surface — listening to audio files and typing what you hear. But being able to listen, understand and type at the same time is best suited for people who can multitask.

In addition to listening, understanding, and typing what you hear, you may have to stop periodically to do research — something you might be surprised transcriptionists have to do!

As a transcriber, you may need to do online research to help you understand the context of what you’re hearing — especially if it’s an industry you’re not familiar with — and type everything correctly.

On the flip side, transcription can also feel repetitive at times because you’ll likely need to back up and listen to parts of an audio file multiple times to understand what’s being said and type it all out.

If you think you might want to work at home as a transcriptionist, the following companies have regular openings:

nursing

You may be surprised to know that nurses can do their work from home! As telehealth grows in popularity, I see more remote opportunities on various job boards for nurses.

And — as you can probably imagine — nursing requires multitasking whether you’re doing it in the doctor’s office, the hospital, or at home.

Nurses working at home must communicate with patients via video, chat and/or phone to virtually diagnose symptoms and recommend treatment. Medical records require asking and answering questions while documenting patient details.

If you are interested in working at home as a nurse and you have the necessary licensing and education to do so, check out the following companies for openings:

Event planning

Event planners can do most or all of their work from home, and the job involves extensive multitasking.

There are so many different moving parts and details that go into planning events—especially big ones—so what you’re doing is likely to be constantly changing. Anyone who is good at multitasking can be really good at event planning!

Many event planners work independently, running their own businesses. But there are some companies that hire them if you want to work under someone else.

You can read our article on working at home as an event planner to learn more or search for “event planners” in your area. Indeed To see what companies are looking for in virtual event planners now.

I hope these ideas helped you if you are a master multitasker, enjoy multitasking and want to work from home.
