Looking for work at home part time jobs? You are not alone. A common reason for wanting part-time work is having children at home. Then there are others who need part-time because they work other jobs and aren’t able to keep 40 hours.
So today, I can find those companies with now part-time openings from home by digging around. Note that even though this post is dated, some of these companies are still operating. If the job is closed now, check back later.

1. – Lichtchart – Literary Guide Author
LitCharts is looking for literature guide writers to work from home.
You can work from anywhere and compensation will vary depending on the length and difficulty of the job.
It is part-time, requiring only 10 to 15 hours of your time per week. You can work whenever you want without any fixed schedule.

2. – eScribers – Legal Transcribers
eScribers is looking for remote legal transcribers in the US.
You don’t necessarily need past legal transcription experience, but you do need to have good English and grammar skills, listening skills, attention to detail, and a high school diploma.
eScribers lets you work whenever you want. However, they say it’s best if you can commit to at least 20 hours per week.

3. – Crowd Content – Writers and Editors
Although this is a low-paying writing job, there is flexibility in how much you make. Hence, it qualifies as a part-time job from home.
Crowd Content pays every Friday if you earn at least $10 per pay period.
No professional experience is required, but a good understanding of AP style is important.

5. – 3Play Media – English and Spanish transcript editor
3Play Media requires English and Spanish transcript editors for working from home. With 3Play Media, you work whenever you want (if there’s work available). This makes it possible to do part time.
The company only hires from the US. Your salary is project based, ranging from $10 – $30 per hour depending on your performance.

5. – Phone.do – Call Agent
Phone.do is looking for freelance phone reps to work from home anywhere in the US. You can work anytime, so this is definitely a possibility for part-time work.
You can do this from your smartphone, and the earnings are sent to your bank or PayPal account.

6. – Course Hero – Online Tutor
Course Hero Online is hiring Academic Tutors. To qualify you must have a BA degree, be a fluent English speaker. Company is open to applicants in US, UK, CA, or AU.
Course Hero’s tutors earn an average of $3 per question answered. Most Course Hero tutors earn an average of $300/week.
This is a flexible opportunity with no cap on how much or how little you work.

7. Cambli – ESL Tutor
Cambly has an ongoing need for home ESL tutors.
This is a part-time role as you can work as much or as little as you want. Also, you don’t need past language teaching experience to qualify.
Pay is $.17/minute (working up to about $10.20/hour).

8. ACT – Essay Scorer
ACT has an ongoing need for work at home essay scorers. It can be part-time because they say you can do the job anytime.
This role has the potential to earn $12 or more per hour.
To qualify, you must live in the United States and have a bachelor’s degree or higher.

9. Proofreading Pal – Proofreader
Anywhere in the United States. Must be currently employed or enrolled as an undergraduate or graduate student at a US college or university. A minimum GPA of 3.5 is required. Applicants with a bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of writing/editing experience will also be considered. Pay rate unknown. It is flexible, but you must be able to meet deadlines.
10. Productive Therapist – Virtual Assistant
Productive Therapist Needs Remote Virtual Assistant to Support Psychotherapy Practice Across the United States.
This position involves making phone calls, scheduling duties and general administrative duties.
Currently, they are only looking for assistants living in California, Utah, Florida, Pennsylvania, Minnesota, Maryland, and Texas.
